wierd drivability

Default wierd drivability

So Friday I go to work and rover has a hiccup just before I get on the hi way I figure no biggie, get to top of ramp to merge and no power, I only have 3 miles or so to work and drive the entire time pedal to floor 50 MPH with popping

Get there look under hood and all I see wrong was the pcv hose on drivers valve cover has split open

Got it limped home later that day, called Justin for a hose, I put the hose on yesterday and decided to throw the fuel pressure gauge on, 26/28 psi, it holds when I rev it

Any ideas of things to look at, I do not know if the hose resolved my issue have not driven yet

No codes, sensor values all look good

I bet that fixed it. That split hose made for a vacuum leak, for sure.

When I raise the rpm it maintains the pressure, already did the pressure regulator previously

If the the split hose didn't cure it the only thing other thing that comes to mind is spark.

Tom this just reminded me of a similar problem I had. It turned out to be a knock sensor. It didn't throw a code for a couple of days, then the wire (which was somehow on the exhaust manifold) burned through. That's when I got a code. But it ran just as you described with and without the code. It was also accompanied by engine knock, which I though was just bad gas (until I got the code).

Actual answer......... mass air flow sensor, threw on a spare and all is good for now

It had gotten wet at rotr guess it took a little bit to die
