Ok guys and gals, what do you want in a winch bumper and how much are you willing to pay?
Keep in mind the heavier it is the more it will cost to ship.

So let the idea's and price point's fly!

Well I am actually in the works of making and selling them, so I need idea's and what is a reasonable price that people are willing to pay.

I was thinking of having a CB antenna mount that could also be used to the safetty flags that you use when in the dunes.
Recovery points, like "D" rings.
Flat black paint or Herculiner, not sure which yet.
Brush bar, and I also thought about something to protect the grill and light mounts of course.
No fog lights, no fancy bends, just a no nonsense bad @ss winch bumper for the DI and DII.
HD rear bumper and rock sliders to come later if the demand is there.

 

Why dont you have one on your truck yet? Did you just gain the ability?

Id LIKE

-Less overhang for better angles
-Ease of installation I.E. no welding preferably drilling. [not sure if this is practical
- Offer an unpainted option

Lower the price the better, so deign something simple that can be built quicker, meaning like you said no bends or pretty angles.
No point in trying to compete with higher priced bumpers, there already is a product for that.

 

No I didnt have the source for them before.
They will be bolt on, no fabbing of your truck required.
Unpainted option can be a option.
Obviously the cheaper the better but I still need to know what people are willing to pay.
I should have one on my truck pretty soon.
Doing the research right now to see if its worth it to mass market them.
There are lots of options out there and they seem to start around $450 for a basic version.
My goal is $500.

 

That is a loaded question, but I like simple, no brush bars. but there are different things I like about different brands.

 

I think a receiver mount thru' hole in stock front bumper would get my adrenaline level up

I'm contemplating making one for mine (although I'm basically a poser, I want to be prepared) and have a shop

In my mind I thought arb was the cheapest, so as long as you could beat their price youd be good.

Im sure you are aware of this, and I have no clue how you might make them, but one way to save is to use 2x4 HD tubing or Channel Steel, This is probably common sense but just wanted to throw that out there, dont want to see you making 5000 welds for a bumper..

I still have that design, not that you would want it or anything, but the measurements are accurate. And you could learn the use the program if you dont know already.

There's something to shoot for in designing and pricing.
