I would shoot for something like DiscoMikes, but I want something that will hold up to whitetails and women on cell phones.

ARBs are one off the most expensive, I like the fit of Hard Labor Creek's bumpers, hlcfab.com

I like the low profile bumper to reduce front overhang and increase approach angles (which I don't like about this really thick ARB bumpers) some good protection for the headlights, the front receiver hitch is a nice idea, and maybe already have the hardware for brush pusher wires already installed. That would be cool.

Keep the idea's coming guys.
Whats a good price do you think?
I have no idea yet what materials will cost or how long they will take to make.
Or how much they will weigh, or what shipping will be.
Still working on the design.

really I would say do however YOU want some people will like it and some won't, my only concern is if you go with an ARB style you will probably find in the end it would have been easier and not much more, if any, expensive to just have bought one. If you do something not done before than by all means do it.

I like the idea of a no winch bumper. It would definatly give you more liberty in the design not having to worry about fitting one in. Maybe just a reciever hitch so you can put a hitch mount winch if you need it, that would be great for everyone who uses their truck for a daily driver not having to carry that weight.

I will be in the market for these in October and would gladly buy yours over the mass market ones. I like Spencers ideas but would like to see a place to transplant the factory lights in the rear bumper. I would prefer to either get bare metal I can paint up or a rhinoliner option. If I had to pick I would have a rhinoliner. Just dont know what the expense would be for the weight in shipping. Honestly it would probably be negligible.

I agree that 300-400 is a good place to start on a no winch option bumper, 500 for a winch mount bumper. That price would def. help you corner a piece of the market just based on price alone. But they are expensive for a reason. Probably 2-300 in metal in a good one and then labor.....but those are the prices I would look at to start (obviously not including shipping as that will be freight....ouch!) BTW you could probably make some rear bumpers in the 200 range pretty easily which could help start some cash flow.
