My 96 D1 driver side front door window motor crapped out along with the window regulator. Need to replace entire unit. Will a D2 work.. or does anyone have a left front motor for sale. Plenty of regulator arms but no motors..

 

Are you sure about the motor? Window regulator rivets sheer, slides wear or break and teeth get broken so I can believe that on the drivers side. What have you done to check the motor? Try paulgrant@mac.com for the motor and possibly a regulator if your sure it's toast. I don't think the two are interchangeable between Disco and DII.

 

Thanks for the reply. But yes the motor blew apart the retaining cap was off and the internal mechanism was in shreads.. and to boot one of the nylon rollers was in two pieces as well. Thanks for the lead on parts. I will check him out.

 

Rovers North had both parts brand new! Looks like next saturday morning is planned :-)

 

Just finished the install! Start to finish about an hour. Only part issue was the electrical connectors do not match from the original wiring. Simple to resolve. Rovers North great service great parts.
