Default Won't turn over new battery

My 1998 disco would not start this morning. It is cold out here in the NW. The battery is new. And all the accessories work just wouldn't turn over. Made a sound trying to start, but wouldn't. Is it starter, or alternator?

Even if the alternator is toast it should start on a charged battery, it just won't run long. Was it cranking, like the starter was engaging? Or was there a clicking noise? Be specific.

Starter is done, but do a HG job to be safe

Remember, a HG job will fix everything.

When I replace the batteries it didn't have this problem. Why the delay in issue? I didn't jump. How hard is it to replace the starter

Thanks.

I'd go with autozone, lifetime warranty. I don't know about BA, plus you got to ship them the core.

Paul Grant, guaranteed good and no core. Much cheaper too.
