What year D2? They are not equal.

Fuel pump story is bs. A dealer would change it and up the price.

This truck sounds seriously neglected.

Wait till you see how much gas it uses.

Sounds like $1500 in headaches

I personally haven’t checked it out, but I’ve had several people I know look at it, and they’ve all walked away.

One guy was gonna buy it for parts, but then LKQ got an 04 in & he just went to town on it instead and got what he needed for much less than 1900.00.

Also I seriously doubt it’s a fuel pump. They’re 54.00 brand new!!!! If someone can’t replace that because it’s to much just what else is zip tied & duct taped together? It’s probably a CPS that’s going south IMHO or it overheats lol. The ad is not very good in the english department either so yep everyone I know has passed on it. If it was a good D2 it would have been long gone at 1900.00 for an 04.

Yep it’s a POS, like the old saying goes “if it looks to good to be true, it probably is...”

SO many vehicles were swamped during Harvey and not reported. Then either driven for a bit until something broke, or they were traded in....

The pics I was shown had it in what looked like a repo lot, for a shady exotic car dealer that makes stuff look pretty, but they’re quality of repairs is HORRIBLE!!

Run Forest..... Run....

I'd take it for free.

Probably just needs a CPS. Factory D2 Fuel pumps have a good rep in my opinion. Most of the threads I've read about fuel pump failure/and or replacing were due to owners throwing parts at their rigs because they couldn't correctly trouble shoot was really wrong with there car....

My 01 still has the original fuel pump.

I would never buy an 04.

The car itself was located and viewed at an exotic car dealership, not in the one from your link.

The pics in the CL ad are the same D2, pics I’ve seen truly looked like an auction/repo lot Expo motor cars = not a good place to buy from. I had a friend buy a clean looking 03 D2 HSE7 from them back in the day, windshield leaked more than the HVAC blew, it stunk inside after it got warm in the sun, exhaust was loud and not sealed at the y pipes, and it had electrical glitches all for nearly 30k. He sold it for a loss eventually & they never fixed it properly when he took it back.

99-02 are my favorites, 03-04 look better maybe, but the 4.6L is delicate vs a 4.0L all comes down to the tooling, quality control, and how it was treated.
