Hello Guys..., newbie here
I have a '01 D2, that I parked over a month ago, with the battery disconnected. And now, ofcourse, I get cranking, but no engine start. I had this problem one time before, and I did a search on doing the key code trick on door lock,, and it worked ! Now I have the same issue from the truck being parked again, but now I can NOT find the pattern of the key sequence. Last time I used a generic pattern I found online..., I think I used either 1 to 5 turns, or 1515. I really do not remember what procedure I used, that is why I came on here to see if anyone has the pattern ? The battery if fully charged now, and the fuel inertia is pressed in as well. At first, when I tired cranking, the hazards would start flashing, and sometimes also the M & S light would come on. But after I tired different combinations of the key on door lock, I finally gave up, This truck was driving perfectly before I parked it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated !
Thanks
Leo

I had the same problem with my 01,D2 Take both battery terminals off.Touch both together for 30 seconds this will flash the computer in the D2 it basically restarts the computer put cables back on then start This will reset computer completely. It worked for My D2 Hope it will work for you.Is the hazards blinking when you are in the Rover after you unlock the door?Anf you put key in to start it it’s Dead? Then shut door turn key to left them to the right then open door shut door put key in and I will fire up or 3 times but one Time should be good it’s happened to me several times and it’s in your security system I don’t know why this is But it works.

Is the red LED going nuts? If not I doubt it’s immobilized. If it is immobilized, you will not have the engine turn over at all. If when you turn the key then engine turns over, but doesn’t fire then you’ve gotta check 3 things air, fuel, and spark. Check air filter, then remove the brake booster line at the intake, pour in some fuel, re-install brake booster line, attempt to crank it. If it sputters your problem is fuel, if it doesn’t sputter check for spark. I’ve seen a lot of D2’s sit and have the CPS go bad. Bad CPS = no fuel or spark.
