02 Disco SE7 Starting troubles
Any help would be great!
Last week I got back into my 02' Disco SE7 after lunch and it turned over but would not fire. I tried again, but nothing. All the power comes on and the battery is new. Left the disco sitting all day and when I came back to check on her, she fired right up. Also started right up the following morning. However, then I had to turn her off to go back in and lock my door and then she wouldn't start....again, turned over but no firing. After sitting for 15 minutes, she fired back up. Drove for the next 2 days with no problems. She has been sitting still for last 5 days. Today, she started right up. I let her run for about 8 minutes and when I came back outside to leave, the engine had quit running. The key still in ignition and all power, including heat and heated seat still running, I took the key out. Tried starting her again, but no luck....turns over, but no firing. Unfortunately, I had to leave her sitting, however luckily, I found a ride to work.
Last week I thought it was the starter, but now I feel like it might have something to do with fuel pump?
Any ideas? Thanks!

RE: 02 Disco SE7 Starting troubles
There is a little port that looks like a tire stem on your fuel rail. (shiny metal tube going to injectors). When it doesn't start, Check fuel pressure here. Please note that fuel will spray out, so be careful.
That said, sounds like a crank sensor to me too...
