Default '03/'04 cruise control

I haven't been able to find an answer anywhere (I left the dealer right when these came out so no inside info):

Driving with cruise control and you get a surge, lag, surge, lag. Argh. Best guess that we've been able to come up with is that they didn't reprogram the cruise control for the added power of the 4.6.

Anyone seen a fix? Even from someone outside the dealer network?

Paul

Are you still in warranty, if so get it back to the dealer and have him fix it, if they can't then contact yor local Rover district off ice and ask to speak with the service rep.
I doubt it is power related.

It looks like if it was out of warranty it would have cost ~$100 for the software update.
- I glanced at the warranty paperwork I had to sign.
