Default 03 98k Discovery Cheap, what yall think?

So I sunk my 98 discovery and it will never be the same.. Im waiting for the transmission to die and I have HAD IT with the engine system.

I was in autozone today getting transission fluid, flushing it for the 3RD time when an owner asked me if I wanted to buy an 03 for 1500$ I was like hell yea!!

NOW I know the 03 had oil pump failures and NO CDL. I can get a CDL EASY and I have many available,

I drove by the place and checked it out, I talked to the owner on the phone. It looked a little rough but I definatly think its fixable.

She says she lost control and drove it into a ditch but all that was damaged was the front plastic bumper peice and the metal bumper should be ok [ill determine that] However more important the passenger side rear panel was in bad condition. I heard she had a bad blowout and it pretty much ripped it.

Now what do you guys think? The rear panel felt like it was replaceable [tapping on it]

Engine is supposed to be great and everything works on it with 98k. What do yall think?

Post photos.
I'd have to see it, but I'd do it. Good thing about body damage, you can be a little braver off road when you've already got some scars.

Offer her $1000 but pay no more than the $1500 she is asking.

Make sure it isn't in the bad VIN range. If it is, I'd pass. I agree with Spike on the $1000. If a complete stranger comes up to you and says $1500 then they'll take less.

If you have time and money to sort it out then go for it. If all else fails then part it out, you will recover your money and then some.

I was about to say, at 1500 you could part that out and make money.
