03"D2SE Won't Let Me Enter or Start - Help Please
The current issue is that I cannot enter and start my 2003 Land Rover Discovery SE, and when I could enter it the electrics wouldn't work. This happened very abruptly, as it was able to start fine a while ago- but it sat for a few days before refusing to cooperate with me. I have an idea as to what the problem is but I was hoping others could reaffirm my suspicions, and help me to figure out how to go about taking care of this.

I had tried to move my Disco out of our garage but it wouldn't start. Electrics (radio, dash lights, etc) would display life and then quickly shut off. Power locks still locked and unlocked with the key fob, and the headlights would turn on. Thinking the battery was dead, I hooked it up to a charger, and once the battery was charged, I checked again to see if the problem had been resolved. To my dismay, the same thing happened. I turned the key and the electronics flickered in and out of existence, however, I could still turn on the headlights and control the locking/unlocking. The car would not start and made no noise at all when the key was moved to the starting position. Moments later, no electronics worked at all, not even the headlights. After trying (and failing) to start my D2 numerous times, I finally gave up and exited the vehicle. About a half an hour later, I came out and decided to unlock/lock my D2 with the key fob a few times. It locked, unlocked, and locked like I'd expected- but suddenly it wouldn't unlock. The key fob would not lock or unlock my vehicle, and inserting the key into the driver's side door did nothing either.
Whenever I hit a button on my key fob, a red light glows on the key fob and I've noticed an unusual blinking red light on the dashboard. I'm thinking that for some reason the vehicle has entered an anti-theft mode, which supposedly can be disarmed by using a security code, the key, and the driver's side keyhole. Unfortunately for me, I bought this vehicle used and do not have a "security card". I am not aware of anywhere else I can find this code, and I don't know where to acquire a new one. I was thinking of calling a land rover dealer but I don't even know if this is the issue or if the dealer would have the code for me to enter. If anyone knows what's wrong with my Disco and how to fix it I would be most appreciative if you'd help me.
Thanks
