Default 03 DII shuddering after battery install

My disco has been running flawlessly for over a year now. The other morning I was going to work and my battery was dead. I raised the hood and the cap on the positive side was halfway off. I pulled the battery and it would not hold a charge so I purchased a new one thinking that was going to solve my problems, but I was wrong. After replacing the battery the truck shudders while accelerating as if it is not running on all cylinders. I'm not sure if whatever killed my battery is to blame or if something else coincidently went wrong at the same time.

I checked my plugs and wires and they are fine.

Could the alternator be the problem?

i'd check to see if you installed the battery wrong...red to + and black to -...

i screwed up and crossed the battery terminals for a couple seconds and i blew a bunch of fuses that caused my truck not to run.....it would start and die...

check every fuse in the engine compartment...

If your new battery is good, then it is not causing the problem. What was the CCA rating on your new battery?
You must have a check engine light on so go get the codes read at your local parts store and get back to us with the 4 digit fault code numbers.
