Why not take yours apart, clean it, lube it, and re-use it??

Would that work because I keep getting stuck in limp mode even after I restart her like i have to do so about 3 or 4 times for her to find the right gear let alone every time I go in reverse she goes into limp once I switch to drive I'm thinking the part may be destination fuc*ed at this point it has become more common over the last 2 weeks

AC Drains dump water directly onto it. The contacts inside can get dirty and make it go into Limp Home Mode with flashing M & S lights. You remove it drill out some rivets (replace with small screws), clean all the contacts, re-lube it, re-seal it, and re-install it. Most of the time that'll take care of it. Then you just double check your adjustment making sure the gauge cluster & shifter are displaying the proper gear.
