Default 03 disco stalling oil & battery light on. help!

Hi, ok so about a week ago my car started making a continuous noise, not loud but noticeable. it sounded like the belt or a pump but i'm not an expert so i don't know what it was or is. ok i'm driving home last night and it started to get really rough while driving then as i was coming to a stop my car stalled so i stopped it. turned it back on and continued to drive, as it started to slow down again it would make a quick high pitched squeek then stall again. so I pulled over, put some oil in it, ran it for a few minutes, it made some cracking and rattling noises , and tried to drive again, but same thing. The oil light and battery and check engine light are all on. I got a tow across the street from my house. later last night I turned the car on , it struggled and the lights flickered but it did turn on and put it in my drive way, it was no longer making any noise and sounded normal. so whats wrong with my bi polar car? please help

not sure but the 03's have an issue with the oil pump. Be careful if you run it with a bad pump the engine could cease and then the engine is junk.

yeah, call Mike. 03's have an oil pump problem and what you are describing sounds like a failure. There is a VIN range that he can check. Have your VIN ready..

Of the whole description of the incident, what struck me was the fact that you added oil to it. You did not mention that it was low, how low was it? To me that is very interesting statement. By Now you probably talked to Mike, but please share what is going on.
