Default 03 disco w/ 75k

I'm going to take a look at this disco this afternoon. Supposedly very clean and only has 75k miles. It is the S model, but has some upgrades like heated seats and leather. Value ranges from $6800 to $9000 on kbb, nada and edmunds. Obviously they have it listed on the upper end. You guys have any thoughts? It's been on their lot since 6-24 and was a trade in. http://www.longmontford.com/2003-Lan...CO/vd/10692995

Oh and the vin range is outside of the known range with the oil pump issue.

Looks pretty nice. I have that ARB bumper, except they have no winch in that winch bumper.... Those wheels are nice, I've always liked that style 16". Check for head gasket issues.

I have those wheels AND that bumper

I wouldn't pay $9000 for a 2003... probably not a 2004 either. I paid $6500 a few years ago for my 2003, and I think I overpaid... or at least I should have waited.

It's very clean - but then it would be at a dealer. I dig the black interior - much prefer over beige but that's a personal thing.

I would check for a few things. You want to look the motor over real well to see what leaks it has (if any) and where they are. AC should be very much good and cold if working right. Look as much as you can at the accessory drive stuff for condition, leak evidence etc. Make sure all the panels / access covers under the hood are there - it's a good sign...

Has the driveshaft been done (front - see other refs here)?
How much, if any scratches, etc do you see along the axles, diffs, the bottom of that bumper etc?
IDK at 75K if you start giving it the love it needs it may be a good ride for quite a while. I'd still plan on the full major service, less anything they have documentation for recently enough to matter.

Dealers are total BS.
Offer them $5 cash.
Keep offering it until they take it.
You'll need the extra money for repairs.

Take it all the way down to Boulder and on the E470
fast - about 75 or so to heat it up.
Make sure it has no issues.

9K - is free money for them.

They only have $3K into it or 4K max I bet.
Realtors. Dealers. Thieves. All the same.

Hah yeah I'll heat it up and plan on having it checked by a rover mechanic in Boulder if it looks good.

It seems if it has black interior you can expect to pay more... they don't show the wear like the beige ones do.
