'03 DiscoII Spark Plugs?

I just got my disco back from the dealer. I had to have a coil pack, wires, and plugs replaced. I was told by the service guy that my truck had the wrong plugs in it and that I needed to get the correct plugs in because the high resistance of the wrong plugs is what is causing the problems. This is the second time in 6 months that I have had a coil pack go out and my warrenty ends in less than 700 miles!!!! What plugs do I need, and where's the best place to get them as I am currently on a very tight budget! ![Frown](https://landroverforums.com/forum/images/smilies/udbMv2o.png)
Thanks for the help.

The dealer is off on this one.
If you have gone thru 2 coil packs, there is something else wrong going on.
I have worked for dealer shops for years and have never seen a coil pack fail cause of a plug. They will fail if you have old plug wires grounding on the engine.
ust so you know, you have a one year warranty on their work, so don't worry about it. If the coil fails again, you should call in the factory rep and get some help.
As for what works best, 8mm. Magnacor wires and a set of Bosh Platium Plus 4 plugs will last longer and give you more torque and mileage.

Thank you so much for the advice! Any chance you know the part numbers for those wires and plugs? Also, I'm on my second pack, first one was cylinders 1 and 6, second one I believe was cylinders 2 and 7, but I'm not sure on that one. Point being, I'm not just reblowing the same pack, so I don't know that the warrenty will help.
Thanks again for the advice though, and I will begin my hunt for those wires and plugs. By the way, is it neccessary to replace any gaskets when removing the top of the intake to allow clearance to change the wires? Or can I just unbolt the intake, change the wires, and then put the intake back on?
Thanks,
skrach

Here is a site for for the wires and plugs as well as many other toys. http://www.roverconnection.com/
As for the warranty, any thing Rover installs on your truck is covered for one year and unlimited miles.
These wires will give you alot more voltage for the plugs and they don't seem to break down like the factory wires.
Good luck,
Mike
