Default '03 Discovery II

Is the Discovery II a good SUV? I am hearing these horror stories. I am looking at an '03 SE7 with 63K miles. Any advice or suggestions? Thanks for the help!!!

I love mine and can't even imagine trading it for anything else. I bought it about 8 months ago. After owning several Jeeps, a Chevy Tahoe, and a Dodge Dakota, this is the best all-around 4 wheel drive vehicle I have ever owned. The extra creature comforts are nice, too.

Words of warning: Have it thoroughly inspected for problems before buying and be prepared to fix a few little problems that come up right after you buy it. Those few little problems are probably why it's being traded/sold and could easily cost you a couple of grand, so consider that while negotiating price.

What are you wanting to do with a Disco, are you wanting to modify it for serious 4wheeling?

Oh no 4 wheeling. I am just driving it around town. Now later on my husband may want to take up to the deer lease and try out the 4x4 feature but nothing serious. I just love the looks of it. I am just not sure if the price of fixing the problems and the increase in insurance is worth it.

03's were a good year unless you wanted to do really hardcore 4wheeling, climbing boulders all day.
Get a good deal on it and enjoy the truck.
