Default Is this '04 a deal, or not?

I know there isn't a lot of detail, but what do you guy's think of this '04? I don't recognize the wheels. The price is cheap, or not, depending on what has been done. I'm thinking of looking at it on Sunday. I was thinking of replacing my '99 with an '04 (or if I sell the Miata too, a LR3 is in the realm of possibility).

Any bad thing's to look for on a '04?

***2004 Land Rover Discovery SE PRICED TO SELL****

thanks!

Those are the Westminster wheels. I think the westminster package is the wheels and some black wood trim.

So does that make it any more special?

Just rarer, there were only 200 made. They were all bonatti grey with black leather, they had those wheels, cold climate package, and premium audio. Nothing really special, but if the vehicle is in good shape that's definitely a reasonable price.

That's kinda what I was thinking. My rig has 170,000 miles, this 42,000 less, and the way they seem to be selling around here it probably won't cost me a whole lot more than what I can get for my truck. I figure whatever I buy will need the drive shaft, brakes, amigo's, head gaskets, fluids, filters, yadda, yadda done... about a grand worth of work.

I generally don't care much about mechanical stuff, it's the RUST that I look for.

If I were looking again, I'd buy this one, barring any unforeseen issues after looking at it. When looking for mine, I found that Craigslist Photos can be VERY misleading.

Update.... I went and looked at it. The motor was supposedly rebuilt several years ago, but it had an unusual tick under acceleration (possible slipped sleeve?) that wasn't there at idle and there was a slight miss. The drivers window regulator and power seat, and radio didn't work. The change cup and ashtray didn't pop out, headliner sagged and the front sunroof didn't open.

As it was raining, I couldn't tell about the paint but the passenger side of the front bumper was cracked and it looked like it was going to need tires in the near future.

The black leather seats did look really nice for the mileage and it drove fairly well.

That's what I kept running into. Photos/Descriptions and real life were definitely different. To some people, it may not matter, but I really like a super clean vehicle.

Don't let it get you down. I looked at about a dozen before I finally decided on the one I got. I bought an "S" due to how clean it was. Paid $6300 for it (at a dealership no less), but again, it's been a peach since I bought it. Just a couple very small issues that I would have likely had with a Toyota or similar.
