Default 04 Disco just purchased...What Plugs are best?

Took some of DiscoMikes advice on bringing truck "current" with the full lube and oil changes..Started to purchase some recommended products today, but I did not notice what was the recommended spark plugs...I use e3 spark plugs in my 89 Wrangler, and I used the Bosch in my 97 Range Rover. I wanted to see what the general consensus was of the collective experience and brain power to help me make a decision. Thanks

Some use platinum plugs, and many use plain old Champion coppers which makes them cheap to change frequently. Good quality silicone plug wires (8mm) are also advised.

I really liked the Bosch Platinum 4s. Found I got a noticeable amount of low end torque

Land Rover says to use platinum. I like to use iridium, but iridium costs about twice as much as platinum and almost twice as much as double platinum.

And am really curious about the e3

I run the E3 in my small engine equipment, snowblower, lawnmower, chainsaw...they work great, last forever, my 2-stroke snowblower has the same plug I put in it over 5 years ago.
So I tried the E3's in my Rover, ran great when cold, cruising down the road...BUT at a hot idle it was extremely rough.
I cannot confirm this, but the ground electrode was getting hot and pre-detonating the fuel at a hot idle and the combustion was fighting the pistons as they were on the compression stroke.
I mean the whole truck would shake it was that bad.
I bought $.99 copper plugs from Wal-Mart, pulled the E3's and the ground electrodes were all discolored, like they had been overheated.
Threw in the el cheapo's and the idle was nice and smooth once again.
And yes I always use premium fuel.

The iridium works fine for me. I have a good idle at all temps, all speeds, and all RPMs. I normally use double platinum on my other vehicles, but I just decided to go with the iridium on this one from when I first got it (before I read that it calls for platinum).

I was advised to use the Bosch plat +4 so I did. Seem to work just fine with new 8mm STi wires.

What is "magnacore" and can I install a quality wire like accell or something similar?
