Seriously, shut up.

Agreed. Let people do what they want. I'm 23 and I have 3 vehicles that I love. People say 2 of them are money pits, but if it makes you happy it's worth it.

I wouldn't put a diesel in anything without a turbo.

Ok, i don't want a bunch of people hating on this post. if you are curious about getting more power out of an OM617 just goto superturbodiesel.com and do some reading. This will be equivalent in power to the factory rover v8 by the time i am done. I have been re-searching this for 6 months, i know what I'm getting myself into. I've read everyone's negative opinion and i don't care. This is my rover, if you don't like it, then please do not read my post. And thanks to everyone who is supporting this. I hope i can be helpful.

I don't agree with any of your negativity DUDE you need to obviously not chime in anymore with that crap, it doesn't help anyone in anyway and help is what this forum is about. So can it, and move on. Didn't your mother ever tell you that if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all?

Best of luck man. I will be following this closely. Since you are familiar with Jareks build, have you thought up another way of fitting the engine in the bell without trimming? Just curious. That would be my only concern with doing this.

300d hardly moves under it's own power.
And the transmission is wonky at best.

Land Rover is a lot heavier.

I would put in a 6 cylinder turbo diesel Mercedes engine rather than a stodgy 5 cylinder.

Granted the 5 cylinder is bullet proof.

Well, it is possible. This guy did it..
Wow.
