Hey, so my disco has been sitting since April not being used because fuel prices would send me broke. Went to start it the other week and it turned over and tried to start with a lot of popping and spluttering. Eventually it warmed up and ran at idle but I couldn’t rev it. Was thinking fuel issue so have pulled the boot apart to look at fuel pump but that’s working, tracing the fuel line back to the motor I can’t find an inline filter? Have read they are part of the pump?
anyway found one connection in fuel lines so disconnected there and had fuel coming out when turning over. This is as far as I’ve got I’d rather not send to a mechanic to sort out so any help I can get here would be much appreciated. Cheers Danny.

 

Could be bad gas that is a typical symptom - that is along time to sit with gas in the tank. I would add 5 gals and see if it helps. Otherwise drain the tank and add fresh.

 

did think it could be bad fuel, It would of only had about a gallon left in there. I added about 5 gals originally with no luck.. thanks though
