I also have a front bumper delete so my approach angles are better than a rubi for now.
What the hell is a " front bumper delete"? Tell me you're not running around with no bumper.

I have both. IMO the Disco with slight mods kicks my Jeeps butt off road. They are too light in some respects and too heavy in others so traction lacks in various instances. Mine is a couple of years old and has been used heavily for work. I have had very few issues but it has the previous engine to the penstar.

Oh dear God. You know there's a reason for front bumpers, right? Pony up the scratch for an aftermarket front bumper with recovery points. Roxstar Fab and Rovertym make some nice slim designs that don't kill the approach angle.

Good to know. Those things are nice now though. He may be getting heated leather seats and a leather steering wheel. Wrangler interiors have come a long way, fast.

After the lift, it's my next item. I will get one in time. Until then though, I'm leaving it buck toothed.

Lol, bringing back the woody look is tempting. So many possibillities. I've contacted by email some local metal fab shops to get a rough estimate to build a steel one out of a cardboard template made by me. Curious if there are any savings going that way.
