Default 100K mile Discovery SE7 potential purchase

Good to meet everyone!

I have been approached by a gentleman that wishes to trade me his 2001 Discovery SE7 for a vehicle project i have in the works. The car looks good in pictures, i'm just worried about long term reliability. I do alot of highway driving, to and from work, to and from new york (from baltimore) and while little inconveniences wouldnt break the deal, i cant afford to be stranded on the side of the road.

The seller emailed me with:

"mine has 100k just replaced the throttle body. air compressor went up so i rigged the air suspension but it works amazing in the stationary position it has 2 sunroofs 2 jump seats grey leather it is a 4.0L v8 about 18 mpg beter with new plugs and wires oil is changed every 2000 miles never been off road. it does need to be looked at for there is something wrong with one of the abs sensors that is throwing a fault and causing the abs traction caontrol and hill desent to fail i belive its due to the dealership using genaric brakes "

Any idea how much an air compressor would go for and whats up with the brake system? should i just pass?

I was originally looking for a full size pickup truck for work, but the added luxury of the rover would be appreciated on the long drives i do. Doesnt hurt that i've always liked all things british

Any help would be much appreciated!

Upwards of $600 plus labor.
ABS could run you $1000 plus labor or more.
I would stay away from it unless you can steel it.

are these common problems? i'm also selling a 1995 M3 currently and a discovery would be a worthy option (compared to the Silverado's i'm looking at lol)

i would be trading a mustang convertible project that i'm currently asking for $3800... so i think that i'd be getting this car at quite the discount... if that changes anything. Unless of course they arent worth that much @100K miles..

Then you have something to talk about.
You should at least go look at it, then get back to us with more information.

could you give me some pointers on what to look for? what else is likely to give up at this mileage? still searching the archives here but havent really found much and i'm suppose to meet up with the guy today. Are the drive trains pretty robust? I know my GM options are known for high mile durability.
