Default Driveshaft Install

Happy Thanksgiving! On the docket for today:
  • Install new driveshaft from GBR.
  • Bumper & slider touch up & clearcoat
  • Top of front diff and reinstall armor
  • Check transmission fluid level

I also updated the build/cost spreadsheet which is now around $32k. Almost done though. Planning on installing better radiator and new hoses and after that I will just drive and enjoy.

Why is the balance weight laying in the box? Should be welded to driveshaft.

Yeah really disappointed with the quality control at GBR. They threw this thing in a box with no protection whatsoever and it was laying half out of the box when I got it. Weight was off too. Anyways I jb cold welded it back on until I can get it properly welded. Also added the diff armor back on and cleaned up the front end a bit to prep it for paint

Our builds are so identical I swear we are telepathically connected…lol

my drive shafts came in just fine but the rear one he built was a little out of balance but I didn’t hear/feel it below 75mph. Either that or it could be that I only notice it because I don’t have the quibo anymore.

If you have problems with that front shaft, I have TW that needs rebuilding I can send you and you’d have to rebuild it, but could run it while waiting for the front one to come back or whatever

Yeah, when l looked at the box...thought...man, they did the bare minimum to protect it during shipping. No wonder the weight got knocked off...pretty sad way to supply a custumer with a new part.

Thanks Cos. Hope it doesn’t come to that.

Took it for a test drive and seem to hold up ok. Also eliminated my vibration at 60 mph so that’s at least something.
