12 mpg hwy!?

I hear ya' Jfall, that's about what I get around town. But around here, if you drive 60 you'll get rammed, or shot. plus we had a 4 m/o on her first road trip and were trying to make as much distance b/t stops as possible.

I did the removal soon after buying it, 08/2012 as my linked thread shows, had about 114K miles and was getting about 14 to 16 mpg; now is about 127K miles. I do not play in snow nor mud nor rocks so works for me with zero problems so far.
The window sub-frame mounts to the door in a way that there is adjustment to bring the top either in or out. the hole in the door frame is actually a slot. Loosen the window frame mounting bolts, pull top in toward cabin, tighten bolt. then, tighten lower bolt. This worked for me.
