Service history will count for alot. At that mileage, most or all the "normal" issues should have been dealt with. I would be really surprised if the headgaskets and oil pump haven't been done yet. $3k is on the cheaper side, at least where I live. At that price, it be worth a look. But a really close look.

I agree. Service history will account for a lot. my 01 only has 68k on it, but no service history and the headgaskets are blown.

check to make sure the headgaskets have been done and it's either had the oil pump done or its outside of the VIN range for oil pump problems (known issues with the 03s.)

It is probably worth it but plan on doing a major service on it and finding a few as of now unknowns.

I agree I would definitely take a look but be prepared for some unknown issues. I got my 01 Disco II with 112K on it for 4500 with all service history but we are in different areas which values can change a little. Good luck!

I would say if its running well at 150k you have dodged all of the mechanical bullets. Look at electrical and suspension issues to start popping up in that range. I usually have a project every weekend now. Lol.

When I bought mine the guy wanted $11300 (because it had off road upgrades!) for it and I got him down to $9000 for the very reason it has been sitting on the lot for 5 months . Go to a dealer tell him you have a serious cash offer and if they don't take it tell them you'll be back in a month with a offer for $1000 less
