I shouldn't state this on a D2 website but, as an owner of an LR4 (D4) it is a superb truck with a reliability record second to none IMO. It also performs excellently offroad and has a huge carrying capacity. In truth, I will never part with my D2 for a general 'hack' truck but the LR4 is much more comfortable for long journeys and very useful. It really depends on how much you want to spend and what you wish to use it for as LR4's aren't cheap to buy albeit they are very economical to run.

Yeah, the money is literally 0 of the equation here. I found the LR4 to be very nice, but not what I want.

The D2 just feels like it has a soul, even though it is a worse vehicle in every other respect.

And thank you kind sir for the offer of your D2. I am looking at one locally on Friday that fits the bill. It is also not a "great deal", but might be the right truck.

I had a D2 now I have 2 LR3's they are great trucks, but you love what you love. I get that, and it's ok to have that opinion D2 section or not.

ElVerde, all Rovers have a soul that's what draws us in.

No worries, just wanted to share. Doesn't hurt me to have it out there in case someone else is looking for that particular build.

Best of luck with the potential purchase. I'll check back later to see how it goes.
