180 thermostat

I put a motorad in a couple of years ago before reading they were crappy. Mine is still good no issues. I run around 195 all the time
Maybe they had quality issues in the past but I have not seen any issues at all. I have one in both Rovers. Purged the Dex out when they were changed out.
Got them from BP Utah ( no affiliation) and I didn't get any stickers either!

Don't worry too much. The OEM gray seems to have slightly cooler and more consistent temps, but there was nothing wrong with my motorad for the 4 months or so I ran it (may-august...I.e. hot ambient temps)

Unless you get a lemon they seem to be already. My original T-stat had me running at 220ish when I first bought the rover. My new motorad floats between 193 and 204 depending on whether I'm cruising or sitting in traffic.

I'm heading to Turkey this summer...pretty toasty place so I'm a little paranoid about cooling system woes. Last thing I need is to break down near the boarder of Syria trying to get bum a ride to the nearest Land Rover dealer from a shepherd. Will probably pick one up just to have as a spare.
BTW, my operating temps are 194-196F according to Ultragauge, but I can dial that down if I adjust the electric fan thermostat.
