Hi, I am new to the Land Rover Forums but have been a huge fan of the vehicles forever, both my parents drive the new range. But, I get to drive a 1996 honda accord. However I was recently talked to a women who has a 1995 Land Rover Discovery, with 104,000 miles on it. It has recently been maintained at the Land Rover dealership with air bags being replaced, as well as new alternator and the such. The rover has no leaks in engine, windows or sunroof. Paint is in good shape and she claims to get 22 miles to the gallon on the freeway when driven kindly. She wants to do a straight trade for my honda which is in good shape and kbb is a little bit less than the disco. So my question really is should I do it? what am I getting myself into if I do? is 1995 a bad year, I know it was early in the american disco's life? are repairs mostly DIY?... I am a college student, should I just suck it up and drive a grandma honda because I refuse to do anything to upgrade it and look like a ricer, or so I trade it for the rover and pay more but be happier in life.
Thanks Guys and Gals

I am 45 and drive a 2005 company provided Chevy Impala which also comes with free gas insurace and service.
I would trade for your 95 Disco in a heartbeat. My wife drives a 93 Saab 9000 (160K miles) CSE and a 99 Disco 2 (99K miles).
Whenever I get a chance to drive either one I get to see how the other 1/2 lives. THe chevy is as safe bland and reliable as a Honda
You may have to work on the Disco, no doubt, but the fun you will have driving around along with your friends will be well worth it.
At your age don't play it to safe.
