Sounds like you've made up your mind and are going to get a LR. Good. You may or may not know but you MUST use premium gas 99% od the time. There is no going Jeep, er, I mean cheap and using regular.

Also from 1996 on they had the 4.0. 1995 was the last year for the 3.9. I had a 1996 SE7 with the 5 speed manual. They only made those until 1997. I would go for the 5 speed if it has one.
