Default 1999 Discovery 2 aftermarket Speaker Install (help) /crutchfield rant

I've been reading up on this forum for awhile now. First off I'll say right off the bat that crutchfield isn't the most reliable source for what fits so please don't suggest it for fitting like others have on other forums. I ordered from them before and guess what not everything fit.My father installed Alpines that were ordered awhile back they provided some parts but not enough so had to make modifications to disco 1996. Spacer brackets, foam, etc..they stuck out quite a bit and wish they had been flush. Now that that's out of the way. They're still a great site don't get me wrong as their customer service is amazing.back to the whole subject at hand for those who have replaced their original speakers for disco 2 what size works best for the front and back ones along with tweeters. Also wondering is Coax or components would work better. I've been other forums and heard from some that 5¼" work best or something along those lines because the depth in the back isn't quite enough for a lot of the 6.5" speakers. As far as the mids in upper rear and back I have no clue some sites say 3.5" and others 4" can someone please shed some light on this topic and whatended up working best for them. It would be much appreciated.I'm. Looking for speakers that will provide clarity, warmth, the most accurate sound possible with no distortion not too much bass but not too little. The perfect balance where anyone in it will you get lost in the music.pure harmony to the ears that will put anyone in a state of bliss.

Alright so for my install i did not want to go to crazy but i wanted to really beef up the sound . I started with installing a single din flip up head-unit so i could get the screen without having to modify the opening for a double din set up (all products will also be posted at the bottom). I purchased the Polk Audio DB 6502 which is a component setup, it is a 6-1/2 speaker and comes with a 3/4 tweeter and a crossover. This setup pushes out 100 watts to each door. The headunit puts out only 50 watts per door so i had to install a separate amp to power the speakers (amp also at the bottom). This setup did not. really require too much work if you are just installing speakers the same size but less power. But for my setup since i was running more power i wanted to be safe and i ran all my own speaker wire which was way more involved so it took me a days worth of work to get everything perfect.
The 6-1/2 fit right into the door for me no rattling. For my 03 im not sure what other models are exactly setup like mine but i installed the tweeter in the a pillar and removed the mid range speaker from the middle of the door since i could not use it anymore.
I wish i had pictures to show everyone but i did not think id ever write about it. if you have any specific questions that i can answer i will.
I will actually be modifying my setup because i want more midbass so ill be doing a full sound deadening install on my doors so when i do i can snap a few pictures of everything.
I also have a 800 rms subwoofer installed with a capacitor

And i am in no way a pro at audio install i just went at it and it turned out really good. 100 watts might be more than most people will want in these cars i have the amp power only at 50% and its plenty loud with no distortion
