Default Final Decision

Decided to go with LT275/65/18. Not because I wanted the biggest tires but that these were actually on sale at pep boys for a pretty good deal. I get them installed on Saturday so we’ll see how it goes married up to the new bumper.

Just added the bumper and new tires. Slight rubbing on the tight turn but not really noticeable. Added the 2 in terrafirma, plus steering damper and new shock tires. While I was at it I cleaned up the brakes, replaced the rotors and pads.

I’d say these need some attention.

Finished product - cleaned up wheel and repainted. New rotors, pads, shocks, springs and shock towers.

Before tires and bumper install

Before bumper install

Slight mods for the bumper

Bumper installed

New tires and bumper with 2 inch lift.

Will I need to replace my rear spare tire carrier or will it fit the new rim and tire?

A spare wheel larger than 31" will most likely need the spare tire mount to be flipped (via new re-drilled bolt holes) ..... as well as possibly a cut-out notch to accommodate the rear wiper arms.
