Your D2 looks great and the wheel/tire combo is sweet! I'm not sure why but the Kumho MT71's are ~10lbs heavier (56lbs each) than other brands MT. I got some for my 3.9 RRC and really dislike the extra weight during driving and when I rotate or change tires. Steel wheels + MT71s are a workout! I'm looking at going to Cooper Discoverer STT Pro for the RRC and either selling or putting the MT71s on the D2.

Yes, the Kumo is not light most E rated in this category and size are about 53-55lbs with the Cooper being the exception at 48-49lbs. Pricey too. I weighed this set up to my stock and the difference is about 12-13 lbs. per corner, about 80 lbs vs 67ish. I think the stock Hurricane 18" alloy is a heavy wheel, the massive Rover lug nuts that go with them weigh over 10lbs. I loaded the tires after mounting into the truck by rolling them up a 2x4 to the bumper. This entire set up would have been more practical with all terrain vs mud tires but when I decided to do it I went mud because why not. Guessing the 3.9 in the Rangie might struggle more with the weight and diameter increase, could be a gearing difference as well. I can feel it at dead start but not much. I know its there but now its the normal. At speed I can't tell at all. The narrow profile might even roll better.

Where are you located? Did I by chance see you driving around the other day? (Looks like Portland OR in the driveway pic)

I was behind a lifted Vienna Green 04 D2 in my Range Rover Classic on Tuesday or Wednesday on Sandy Blvd in NE, admittedly I didn't notice the wheels.

I'll take it as a compliment it looks like Portland OR and at times I wish it was. I'm in Kansas City MO.
