I powdercoat, I have parts powdercoated.

One little scratch and it's all over.

If you can get it zinc plated, do that.

I have also had parts acid dipped, the metal of a rover frame..is garbage. That steel is the cheapest crap they built the frames with. Idk how the acid would react to it.

What about Line-X, or bed liner?
I hate to think of buying a galvanized frame, that's alot to put into it.

What do you mean one scratch and it’s over?
we all need to remember I have a wife that already thinks this is going to cost 1/4 of what it is the thought of galvanized makes me have to lie more and I don’t know how I feel about that.

I bought a great D2 about 4 years ago that ended up having a bent frame from a previous front right collision. It was gonna cost 1200 to straighten. I ended up finding a blown motor truck in great shape for 500 and just swapped motors. Have used the rest of the truck as parts for 3 other rovers. Smartest thing I ever did.

I’m with you on that. In fact so much with you that my garage at home and my shop is full of parts off 2 different 98’s and 2 2000’s and half an 04. And I have one crappy frame. Guess I kept the wrong stuff. I believe that doing what you did is the right thing to do but I’m tired of tearing them down I’m ready to put one together. And there just isn’t any more room unless someone brings a big *** trailer and buys all these parts.
