2000 disco: front abs sensor low input?
Hi there guy's!!!! I'm working right now on a 2000 discovery, I found more than 16 abs codes.... One of then was the shutle valve. Wich i did replace with a new one and also did the by-pass. clear all those codes and I' m just getting the front right and left abs out-put low.... OK i did order the new sensors and install them today and still getting this sucker codes.. I did check every ground in the engine bay and inside the cabin by the brake pedals "top left"..... Also unplug every single plug to the abs computer and clean it with a small screw driver and plug it back in place.... If i clear the codes they come back in about a mile drive. Ok, I check the front sensors with a multimeeter and the were fine, also chech the wires on connector c0505 and it was fine too..... The problem was the front abs sensors "0 ring" If you dont set the abs sensor right in place the o ring will act like a spacer and will not send a stong signal to the computer.... that was the problem: got the 2 sensors out and back into place the right way.. That was the end of the story....... But Thanks any way my people!!!!
By the way, if you didn't do a full 2 quart DOT 4 brake flush, it will give you a little better pedal and less chance of eating up all the rubber seals in the system because of acidic, burned brake fluid.
