2000 Disco II Rear View Mirror

Hey all!
Recently i mentioned that my rearview mirrow is stuck in the "dimmed" (dark) phase. Does anybody know a way to fix this?

More than likely the chemicals in the mirror have gone bad and you will need to replace it. I'll let someone more experienced chime in though.

oh man
guess gonn have to do that after changing the rear tailgate actuator. For now I got a line tied to the inside handle going under the driver's seat so I can open it without climbing over the back seat

Be carefull because if that stuff (the rearview fluid) leaks onto your dash it will eat a hole through it.

Oh man, Thats an expensive part! Unless you find one at junker. GOOD LUCK and like Salve said... Hole in dash= Not good.

This is a common problem with all auto dimming mirrors, it happens with age, nothing you can do about it other than replace the mirror.
