2000 vs. 2003
recently I took my father-n-law's 99 DII out for a little offroading (which is bone stock), upon approaching the obstical I noticed that 2 two outcomes where inevitable. 1) I was going to be high strong or 2) I was going to rip the front bumper off... luckily, neither of these two happened, however, I did managed to "adjust" his brush guard a little for him as I came up, over and nose first into the abyss. This got me thinking about some mod's to do to my own 2000 Disco. I have noticed that the 2003-04 front bumpers are smaller in thickness and was wondering if one could find one cheap, how much playing would one have to do to get that to mount on my 2000. The area that I live the above situation would be more common.

So, in hindsight, the outcomes you forecast were in fact not inevitable... LOL
Just keep an eye out for a used bumper, or check out Nate's stuff at Bottorf Fab. He's got good prices and his stuff is a great value; looks great and tough as any!

"high strung" is when the angle is too great for the trucks setup and you end up with 4 wheels off the ground. That's what I've always known it as. Willing to be corrected, I'm just a simple guy from NE. GA. Thanks for the suggestions, yeah after thinking about it a little more I will probably go with an aftermarket bumper.
