Default 2001 ACE question...?

Hi everyone, I just purchased my second Disco and she is a 2001 SE with 97K on her... I am trying to gain some knowledge of the ACE system, I have read that the fluid needs to be changed every 20k and is there any special way to do so. Also, she has a slight growl to her. I took the alternator off and had it tested and it is in great condition. I know the tension pulley had been changed last year and the viscious drive seems fine, fan will spin freely, has a new belt on it as well. Any advice would be helpful, I will take a video of it so you can take a listen. I have read that the ace pump sometimes can cause such a noise.

Yeah I've got a 2000 SE with ACE, and the growl is normal with the ACE pump.

thanks for the reply, and do you change the fluid for the ace every 20,000 miles?

Some ACE pumps will get noisey, a full fluid flush will usually make it better.
Send me your tele number and I'll walk you thru it.
Start looking for 5 quarts of Synthetic p/s fluid and a small bottle of Lucas power steering additive along with some sort of hand pump, I prefer the turkey baster type.
