ihave a 2001 disco 2 and want to know what other years are the same body style

 

1999 1/2 - 2004, The D2 came out mid-year in the US in 1999. Note some of the changes in '03-'04 were:

- the engine change from 4.0 to 4.6
- headlights & tail lights & rear bumper lights
- some interior color changes,(new version of the tan color) and other minor changes, like black dash buttons were changed slightly in color to a lighter blackish/grey color.
- Gas Cap Door Release button was moved from in the center dash console buttons to the left side of the bezel around the speedometer
- black carpet in all models in '03-'04 and black dash
- new stereo options with navigation in '03-'04, I believe
- new wheel designs in '03-'04
- new front bumper/fog lights and front grill
- I am sure I am missing some of the changes from the early D2's to the '03-'04 D2's
- roof rails were made beefier looking in '04
- CDL was added in '04 that existed in the D1 model. ("CDL" read up on this topic for more details and model years for this as the guts to have CDL were in the 99 1/2 to sometime in '01, but you have to add the shifter in the cabin. You can check to for the "CDL nipple" and see if you have the guts. If you do, big plus for off-road and you can get it working by adding the shifter and linkage pretty cheap. Adding the entire CDL guts and shifter is a pain and cost more, especially if you have to pay for the labor to add it. Some earlier models may of had the transfer case replaced under warranty, and if so may of gotten a non-CDL transfer case installed even though it may of had one originally. Ask me how I know.
