Default 2001 DISCO 2 COLD HEATER

I have a 2001 discovery 2 4.0l v-8. in the mornings heater may not work as in blows cold. motor temp is normal. Then later in day heater works as suppose to? sometimes in mornings works fine?
seems as if heater core hoses are not hot but eng temp is. is there a valve for water flow to heater core? common problems? please let me know any help is appreciated. Ray

You are low on coolant. Top off your coolant bottle to the top and redo it again in a couple of days.
Have you been having to add coolant?
