I have a real nice Discovery 2 I have had for 7 years. I installed a lot of new parts valley gasket, new injectors, power packs water pump, power steering pump, sensors, it was running great for a while.

Took it out on a long ride and it started running in less than 8 cylinders, replaced all spark plugs and now it will not even start. When I try to get it started now, the engine seem to reach a point where it catches on something and slows the starting speed, no loud noises.

Where should start I got a lot of time and money invested on this D2 and like the vehicle but dont know if this is a major failure or not. Any suggestions?

you say "started running on less than 8 cylinders".... how did you determine that? are you getting any codes being thrown?

 

My first guess is that you crossed some spark plug wires wgan replacing plugs.

 

It was running rough but I mover the cables around to where I believe it has the correct firing order but now ir won't even start. I have to buy a scanner have not checked for codes maybe I need to do that first.

It's not easy to get at, but the spark plug numbers are written on the coil pack brackets.
