2001 LR DII A/C Clutch Relay Location
#2
Welcome to the forum! Compressor clutch relay is R11 in the engine compartment.
I'd suggest troubleshooting in the following order:
1. Is there the correct amount of refrigerant in the system? There is a high/low pressure switch that will prevent the clutch from engaging if the refrigerant is too low (or too high - but that's probably not the case here).
2. If there is the correct amount of refrigerant, try bypassing the pressure switch - it plugs in near the receiver/dryer, which is behind the grill. Closed circuit = 12V to the compressor clutch via the relay.
Once those are working, then you just need the ECU to send a signal to the clutch, and the clutch to engage via the relay. I don't think issues with the relay are common. Usually there's a leak.
