2002 disco won't shift out of park when cold?
Having problems shifting out of park after truck has been sitting for a couple hours. I have to push the brakes a couple times and mess with it. After its warmed it shifts fine its just on initial start up. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

You will need to replace a switch on your brake pedal.
I think there are two of them - brake lights and the ABS.
Might be one more for the park lock.
The switch pulls in a magnetic solenoid which pulls back the lock bar on the transmission shifter.
You can hear it clicking when you push down the brake pedal and you are in park if you listen closely and it is working.
