Sold all the accessories for $2500 and the truck is for sale for $500 or I am calling a junkyard tomorrow.

Again, thanks for all the help.

$500 seems like quite the kick in the teeth for an undiagnosed over heating issue.

Are there any pointers to the issue? Anything else you know apart from the new parts?

Grats on selling the parts. That's something.

" Has new water pump, radiator and hoses"

Has anyone bothered to change out the T-stat, preferably to a 180 degree TD5?

My Disco came with records of a similar radiator/water pump/hose and head gasket repair from Great Basin Rovers. I called up the shop and verified that even the heads had been decked.

I thought I had a winner until I was in the drive through at McDonalds and saw the needle creep up. Purchased and Ultraguage the next day and noticed my temps were at 220F going up a moderate incline 215F at idle.

I purchased a TD5 T-stat and swapped it and noticed corrosion on the old T-stat indicating the plunger wasn't moving as it was supposed too. The new T-stats dropped the temps to 188-194F.

Even Great Basin Rovers overlooked the T-stat (or the PO declined to replace it).

It's a $50 part. At least try before you give it away...

Changed the T-stat twice and it still over heats.
