Default 2003-2004 Brush Gaurd

Hi guys I'm very close to making a purchase on a used 03-04 Wrap around steel brush gaurd. I was wondering if the bumper requires any cutting or if perhaps someone here had the instructions to this brush gaurd?

Thanks

EDIT: You will in fact have to cut!

I don't have the instructions for installation though... Check atlantic british, they have instructions for different products sometimes.

Even Better, found the page:

Range Rover & Land Rover Part and Product Instructions Including Defender, Discovery, LR3, LR4, Freelander & Series

Not sure what part number you have, hopefully they have it here!

Well the thing with Atlantic British is that they only have instructions for pre 03-04 brush gaurds. This does appear to be the stock wrap around brush gaurd judging from photo comparisons.

This is an ebay auction and you can see in the photos the bumper from which the brush bar came from and it has been cut around the mesh grill of the stock bumper. I know that my stock bumper does not have such openings so I was wondering if the brush gaurd required cutting in order for it to be mounted. Thanks for your time by the way Cam.

Okay after some digging online I found out about the landrover tech website. I registered there and you can get access to all intructions for accessory land rover parts. It's free to register but you have to pay for tech services. So maybe this will be useful to some. And for the steel brush gaurd you do have to actually cut the stock bumper. I am so excited to get this brush gaurd. I've always wanted one for this truck but they are always ridiculously out of my price range. I managed to land this one for $230.

The slits in my bumper (after removing the stock brush guard were about 1" wide X ~5" tall. Shouldn't be much, but like you already found out, you will have to cut.

DiscoRover007 did you buy the guard off ebay after the auction ended?

No I had contacted the seller and he agreed to an offer I had made before I actually placed the offer on ebay.

Interesting that you have to cut with a stock one for the 03-04's. Take pics when you get it on!
