Default 2003 to 2004 bumper swap? Is it possible?

Is it possible to replace the early 2003 bumper with the 2004 style bumper? Technically anything is possible, but can it be done without extensive modifying of the front end?

03 and 04 are exactly the same. If you are talking about putting that style on the 99-02, it can be done. Some have swapped the entire front... bumper, headlamps, grill, etc.

Some of the 2003 models have a pure black front bumper that has no fog lights.

Both bumpers (w/ & w/o foglights) are identical (except for the lights of course). If you have a foglight model and want the look of the non foglights, you could just replace the outer ends of the bumper (it's a separate piece).

The black bumpers, with no fog lights, are S models and the bumper could have been on a 2004 too. The other style is the SE or HSE.

What he said. The fog lamp wiring is there too. But you have to turn it on in the BCU and add the button and relay. The washer wiring is there, but you have to get a new bottle with three pumps and the sprayers.

The disco in question is a 2003 and the bumper is pure black with no fog lights. Eventualy I may be interested in trading or buying a used complete front bumper complete with wiring, buttons and relays so that I can have the 2004 Disco style bumper on this 2003. Thanks for the input everyone. Always good to hear from familer faces again.

When you go to order... You want an SE or HSE bumper, not a 2004 bumper, or you might end up with exactly what you have.

The bumpers are high dollar used. If yours is good, just getting a set of end caps and fog lights might be cheaper.

Good point. I was hoping to pull one from a part out disco, I've seen afew 03/04 disco's on here that are being parted out so maybe I can get a good deal that way. Maybe even off up my bumper plus some cash for the desired bumper. Thanks again for your help.
