2003 CDL Install
So I found a CDL from an 2004 D2 and took the nose off to put it on my 2003 (No CDL Nipple). The nose off the 2004 CDL has two switches on the CDL (The two red circles in the photo, ignore the blue arrow, this is a photo i pulled off google, there are switches in BOTH those read circles)
So this brings me to my question, HOW do I wire up the switches to get the CDL Light to illuminate when I engage the CDL?

I haven't tried to slap an 04 CDL linkage into a late model 02/03 D2, but the switches should be for CDL and the N warning switch. I am not sure however if the 02/03 Transfer Case harness still has the wiring connections for those switches. I know my 10/01 built Kalahari did, and I just had to plug it in, but I can't speak for later 02/03 models.

If it's a plug going to a dome shaped looking area of the TC it could be for the interlock solenoid. I know 99-02 linkages didn't have the interlock solenoid on the actual shifter mechanism, pretty sure 03 is the same as the 99-02's. 04's I know for sure moved the interlock solenoid from the Transfer case to the shifter. If that is the case you have two choices.
Keep your original interlock on the transfer case working and bypass the 04 interlock solenoid on the actual shifter mechanism. Or what I'd recommend is disable the interlock solenoid switch on the transfer case (has been known to fail) which leaves you without N or 4Lo. To bypass it you simply tear it apart and remove the solenoid actuator. RTV it back up and you're all set. The 04 setup can also fail, but it's location is much much much easier to get to.

In my original picture I posted, its the left red circled sensor, is that what your talking about?

Nope, the interlock solenoid it towards the back passenger side of the transfer case. That sensor is the CDL engage/disengage sensor for the light. If the wiring harness had the correct wires they'd be hanging nearby.
I remember reading another thread a while back mentioning the guy grabbing an 04 wiring harness, and another guy running wires to the SLABS unit.

So I guess im heading to the parts store tomorrow to find a sensor

So it looks like my 2003 (Manufactured in 2002) has the wiring ziptied off to the side of the transmission. Instead of rewiring a light in, I was able to talk to Eric at Lucky 8 about some of the wiring assemblies. These were the two parts needed to plug into the ECU
CDL Wire Assembly:
Part #YMQ105170
CDL Switch
Part #IGM500011
I will keep you posted when it gets installed!
