Default 2003 disco driver seat wiggle

My discos drivers seat has a slight movement ( about a 1/4 inch ) when I step on the gas. It is a front to back movement. I looked under the seat and the bottom rail is firmly planted. It is the top bracket , frame that seems to move . I can't find any adjusments or loose screws. Any advice?. Thanks in advance.

both my seats are tight. I have taken them off, and it was easy, but I don't have power seats.

I am kind of a very big guy and the seats in my 99 D2 have never moved or felt loose.

I have an 03 disco as well and am having the exact same problem. Did you ever figure out what it was?

My 03 had the same issue. The seat has twoHorz. shafts that run left to right and have a bolt in the ends. These bolts are loose making your seats "wiggle". They are very hard to get to unless you take the seat out but possible. The fix, you will need to move the seat up with the switch and looking from the back seat, you should see the bolts (the left side is harder to get at). Then you will need to back the bolts out alittle more and apply a drop of loctite and retighten. That should do it.

you are wonderful!!

Once I get mine outta the shop, hopefully today, I will do that!!

So.. are these bolts on the seat it's self, or on the floor??

If you could get a picture, that would be FANTASTIC!!

thank you so much again!!!

John-Robert

btw..what is loctite?

btw..what is loctite? Loctite is the name of a liquid product that you apply to bolts that you want to stay tight. The liquid hardens and keeps the bolts in place. You have different degrees of hold. Any hardware, speed shop or even Wal-mart should carry it.

I just took a few pics of the rear shaft and the two bolts. At the moment, I can't upload to the post. I will upload them Friday afternoon. You may only need to do this to the rear.
