2003 Disco II, fluid on garage floor
As a longtime Disco II owner of three different model years, I have noticed for the first time a small pancake sized fluid spot in the garage. 2003 Disco has 64,000 miles and just had 60k service. Looks like fluid is coming from main transmission housing. any ideas? Thanks, Preston

Your gonna need to crawl under there and be a bit more specific. First of all is it trans fluid? What color is it? Does it taste like grandmas pancake syrup? If so you better invite me over for some flapjacks.
Pancake size aint good. See if your cooler lines are leaking. Thats an awlful lot for just a gasket or seal.

Roger that. thank you! Im taking it to LR Louisville (my home dealer) monday. Just wanted to be armed w/ some outside opinion before I went. The 60k service was done less than a month ago, and truck got a great report! I know that they are weepy/seepy machines, but this seems like a LR service writer could try to take me to tha cleaners for a simple repair.

SloppyJoe is correct. I now see very slight oil run on driver side rear corner of gasket cover. I have read that this is fairly common. I pulled up my 60k service report that was done last month and tech noticed this too. Must not have been too concerned b/c service writer wouldve had me address it then... Last question: How big of a fix does this gasket leak sound like?
