2003 Disco Tires
Wondering what type of tires would be best for tromping around in the mud in. This is my first Disco and starting to learn the new ropes. I just have standard street tires but looking to upgrade to something more "aggressive". Also if anybody has any other advice on anything about these trucks please inform. It's a 2003 with 79,500 miles on it. Before I bought it, it had the intake gaskets done and plugs and wires. But it does have a "rough" idle and don't know if that has anything to do with the wires. It also has the "Service Engine Soon" light on and found out it's a O2 sensor. So could that be the problem of the "rough" idle? Could a O2 senor go bad cause of intake gaskets too???

On the tires I would suggest a pair of Nitto Terra Grapplers for a good all around tire.
O2s can cause a rough idle. But I would HIGHLY recommend looking at the stickies up top and doing Disco Mike's 60k service plan. Really good preventative maintenance and your truck will thank you for it.
Actually I'd read all of the stickies at the top and make sure you download the RAVE manual as well.

The Treadwright Guard Dogs are popular pick on here, about a $105 per tire. They use Bridgestone casings.
I got a new set of Goodyear Duratracs....they are really nice and quiet on the road. But if you are buying them new your looking at $1000. I have off roaded with them twice and they are predictable and have great traction. I live in Indy and go wheeling with the guys from MVLRS.com when I can.

Depends on what you wanna do with the tires. If you're not going rocky crawling or mudding every weekend I'd go for something a little more conservative. If it's your daily driver you gotta think about tire hum, etc.
+1 on Disco Mike's 60K maintenance. My own personal experience...if you don't have a new/rebuilt prop shaft, do that first.
Welcome to the club!
